Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a King Mattress. Bedroom 2 has a Queen mattress. Each bedroom closet includes wooden hangers, luggage racks, white spa robes, and extra soft pillows. Beds feature Leesa mattresses, luxury bamboo sheets, linen duvet covers, and adjustable memory foam pillows. Air mattresses with sheet sets are also available in closets for extra guests.
Living/Dining Room
The open living/dining room is designed for comfort and includes a record player with a collection of records, a simple-to-use fireplace, and a variety of games. Artwork by Minneapolis-based artists decorates the space. Guests are asked not to move the furniture, as it's arranged to maintain clear walkways and views of the forest.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining, with a hood vent to reduce grease buildup. It includes a selection of teas and three types of Keurig coffee pods. The coffee maker is simple to use, with instructions provided. Dinnerware, silverware, and outdoor-safe plastic/aluminum glasses are available, and guests are asked not to bring glass items outside for safety reasons.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are stocked with white indoor towels, black spa towels, hand towels, washcloths, and black makeup-removing cloths. Essentials like extra toilet paper, toiletries (q-tips, toothbrushes, shavers, tampons), and hair dryers are also provided. Each bathroom includes high-quality hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and face wash.
Outdoor Living & Dining
Outdoor dining and lounge areas are located by the front door and on the back deck. A grill is available just past the gate, with utensils in the kitchen. String lights can be controlled via clearly labeled switches. The xeriscaped backyard features fruit trees (apple, lemon, fig, plum, quince) and comfortable egg chairs with cushions stored in the greenhouse. Guests are asked to return cushions after use and to use only compostable, plastic, or aluminum wares outsideβno glassβfor safety.
Outdoor Spa
The outdoor spa at the Mendocino Tree House is a highlight, designed for comfort and ease. It includes a hot tub with simple controls, a locally built wood-burning sauna (with kindling and a ladle for steam), and both a clawfoot tub and outdoor shower with dedicated hot water. Guests can enjoy a hot soak or a refreshing rinse under the stars. A starter bundle of firewood is provided (in the sauna), with more available for purchase in town. Safety tips include always closing the saunaβs fireplace door after use.
